IP.Blog enables members to create their very own blog, but within the framework of your community. All public blogs are gathered in a central location, showing recent blogging activity by your members.
Highlight important or interesting entries made by members by making them featured entries. Featured entries are displayed prominently on the community blog homepage to draw attention to them. This feature is particularly useful if you have important news to share, or to highlight an entry made by a guest blogger.
With all of the features of an individual blog, group blogging lets multiple members share their views in a single space. Whether it's a group of friends, a team within a company or simply members with similar interests, group blogging features provide a foundation for thought-sharing.
Each blog owner can add special content blocks to their blog, and rearrange them using a simple drag'n'drop interface. Content blocks add new features to a blog, such as calendars, recent comments or a list of the blog author's IP.Gallery albums. Administrators can even install new content blocks for members to choose from.
Every blog can be different! Members can customize their own blog in a number of ways to make it unique.
Change the look of a blog by installing CSS themes for members to pick from, or even let them enter their own CSS styles for a truly unique style.
Members can personalize their blog by choosing a header style, and specifying the text that is displayed within it.
Members can add their own content blocks to their blogs, for everything from gamer cards to Twitter widgets.
Even if a member already maintains a blog outside of your community, they don't need to be left out. They can add their blog to your community as an external blog, and even automatically import their entries by using the RSS entry importing feature. This latter feature adds external blog posts as bona fide entries, supporting commenting, rating and more.
